Nicola Sturgeon MSP was appointed First Minister of Scotland on 19 November 2014.
Within a few days she announced a major Ministerial reshuffle and the Scottish Government published, ‘One Scotland: The Government’s Programme for Scotland 2014-15’. This 100-page document sets out the ambition and aspiration of the new First Minister and her Government team. It includes a list of legislation which they propose to introduce in the next 12 months.
Can One Scotland lock in the energy and freshness which seems to have boosted the SNP since September, or will the SNP be hoisted on their own petard by pursuing policies which backfire or cause controversy?
And what do the churches make of it? Who speaks for those on the margins to ensure that the common good rather than party advantage is served?
